We met Jess searching for the perfect finishing touches for her wedding day look at a Kleinfeld Bridal trunk show last spring.
Jess' gown was a chic strapless Frascara sheath design featuring a fun flirty skirt and vintage inspired statement belt. She quickly fell in love with a cathedral double border millinery ribbon veil playing up on the volume of the hem and clean lines of her look.
With a dramatic skirt and veil & statement belt; the pared down strapless sweetheart neckline needed a little something to balance the look and draw the eye up to Jess' lovely face & smile. We also wanted to slightly soften the look since the setting was a golf club with a slightly casual feel.
Jess found the perfect mix of vintage romantic with the Luna halo, but wanted to wear her hair loosely up, tucking her bridal hairpiece low at the back of her updo. We created a custom length Luna to achieve this look. With the halo in place, Jess opted to leave her neckline bare, but wanted earrings long enough to not get lost in her hair, but delicate enough they wouldn't distract from the rest of the look.
We incorporated opal stones into the earrings to pick up on the vintage vibe and soften the "bling", and designed a custom post so Jess' choice would hang in just the right spot. Finished!
As Jess discovered she had put the entire ensemble together with Canadian designers, she smiled with excitement. "Ooh! I love it! That's so sustainable.", she enthused.
Trunk shows are a great opportunity to focus on finishing touches and either choose from a wider selection where you're almost certain to find the perfect details; or explore a custom design to personalize your look as an extension of your unique style.
We were lucky to have Jess share some images of her wedding with us. "Thanks again for the custom design on my headpiece and earrings. I feel like it was fate I walked into the store during the Laura Jayne trunk show."
